Day 1 Monday. FLIGHT TO TASHKENT 

Departure bound for Tashkent.

Overnight on board.

 

Day 2 Tuesday. TASHKENT 

Arrival at Tashkent airport  departing from Istanbul 

Transfer to the hotel and overnight at the hotel. Immediate occupancy.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Old city tour:

 

Earthquake Monument

Hasti Imam Architectural Complex, including Barak Khan Madrasa, Kafal Shohi Madrasa, Tilla Sheykh Mosque, and "Quran of Usman" Museum (7th century)

Kukeldash Madrasa (16th century, exterior visit)

Chorsu Bazaar

-Metro

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 3 Wednesday. TASHKENT-KOKAND-FERGANA

Breakfast at the hotel

07.00 Transfer to the station to catch the train to Kokand (08.05-12.20)

12.20 Arrival in Kokand.

In Kokand, we will visit the Palace of Khudayar Khan, "Tomb of the Kings" - Mausoleum of Dahma-i-Shakhon, Mausoleum of Modari Khan, Narboutabek Madrasa, Djoumi Mosque.

Lunch at a local restaurant (very typical and simple)

Continue to Fergana.

Arrival, overnight at the hotel.

Rest at the hotel.

 

Day 4 Thursday. FERGANA-MARGUILAN--TASHKENT

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, we depart for Tashkent (350 km) via Margilan, where we visit the famous Silk Factory, where you can observe the entire silk transformation process.

Next, we head to Rishtan, another city in the area famous for its ceramics (40 km, ~40 min)

Lunch at the potter's house.

Continue to Tashkent in Sedan cars (3 pax in each car)

Arrival, overnight at the hotel.

Rest at the hotel.

 

Day 5 Friday. TASHKENT-SAMARKAND 

Breakfast at the hotel.

 Transfer to the station to catch the train (according to the schedule). Arrival in Samarkand. (Check-in at the hotel at 2:00 PM)

The tour of the legendary city, known in the past as Maracanda, begins:

 

Guri Emir Mausoleum (Tamerlane's tomb, 14th-15th centuries)

Registan Square: Ulughbek Madrasa (15th century), Shir-Dor Madrasa (17th century), Tilla-Kori Madrasa (17th century)

Bibi-Khonum Mosque (15th century)

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Rest at the hotel.

 

Day 6 Saturday. SAMARKAND 

Breakfast at the hotel.

We conclude the visits:

Shakhi-Zinda Architectural Complex (9th-15th centuries)

Ulughbek Observatory (15th century)

Ancient paper production factory

Museum of the Ancient City of Afrosiyab

Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will visit the new and grandiose "Silk Road Samarkand" Tourist Complex, now the largest in Central Asia, which opened its doors to tourists in September 2022 during the Shanghai Cooperation Summit, where we will visit the "Eternal City," which is a prototype of the ancient cities of Uzbekistan.

There is no falsehood here, neither in the facades nor in the interiors. No architectural monument of Uzbekistan was copied. The main position was that each building, each decoration, each set should be unique and not repeated, not duplicated. There are no two identical buildings here. Everything you can see here is real, made by the masters of Uzbekistan and exclusively handmade. There are no modern building materials or prints here. Of great interest is the church, which preserves an iconostasis carved in wood that houses the "Onufri Museum." We will also visit the Lead Mosque, the Bachel Mosque, and the Gorica Bridge.

Day 7 Sunday. SAMARKAND-LAKE AYDARKUL-NURATA (YURT CAMP) 

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure to Nurata (265 km) via Lake Aydarkul. We will swim in Lake Aydarkul

Picnic lunch at Lake Aydarkul.

Accommodation in yurts (national Kazakh tents/houses, 4-5 pax in each yurt, men and women separately).

Dinner around a small bonfire.

Rest in the yurts.

 

Day 8 Monday. NURATA-BUKHARA

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, a camel ride (about 10 min).

Departure for Bukhara (290 km). Arrival in Bukhara and overnight at the hotel.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Visit to the tomb of Bahouddin Nakshbandi's mother (30 km from the city), summer residence of the Emir of Bukhara Sitorai-Mokhi-Hossa (19th century).

Rest at the hotel.

 

Day 9 Tuesday. BUKHARA

Breakfast at the hotel.

The visits to the sacred city of Bukhara begin:

 

Samanids Mausoleum (9th-10th centuries)

Chasmai Ayub Mausoleum and Sacred Spring (14th century)

Bolo-Hauz Mosque (19th century)

Ark Citadel (5th-19th centuries), the oldest structure in the city, was the residence of the emirs of Bukhara

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Kalon Minaret (exterior visit) & Poi Kalon Mosque (12th-15th centuries)

Miri Arab Madrasa (15th century, exterior visit)

Three Markets: this 16th-century dome complex known as the First, Second, and Third Domes are vaulted enclosures that were joined by a large number of galleries for trade and craft workshops.

Magoki Attory Mosque (12th century)

Ulughbek Madrasa (15th century)

Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasa (17th century)

Day 10 Wednesday. BUKHARA-KHIVA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for Khiva via the Kyzyl-Kum Desert on the Caravan route (450 km, 7-8 hrs).

Box lunch along the way.

Arrival and overnight at the hotel.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Rest at the hotel.

 

Day 11 Thursday. KHIVA

Breakfast at the hotel.
