Itinerary
Day 1
Today you will arrive in Johannesburg where you will be met by the Private Safaris representative and escorted to your vehicle for your private road transfer to Sun City to check into the Palace of the Lost City.
The rest of the day you will be at your own leisure to explore the grounds of the Hotel and Sun City.
The Palace of the Lost City
A legendary destination designed by dreamers for luxury-seekers. Since inception in 1992, The Palace of the Lost City has enthralled visitors from all over the globe. Its unique setting in South Africa, on an extinct volcanic site among the Pilanesberg mountains, is matched by the inspired architecture and passionate attention to detail for which The Palace of the Lost City is renowned.
Day 2
After breakfast you will be picked up for a full day game drive in the Pilansberg Nature Reserve that is right next to Sun City.
Scheduled Game drives are available daily in our 25-seater open game drive vehicles to explore the Pilanesberg National Park spanning over 55 000 hectares of rolling plains. In addition to cheetah, giraffe, antelope, and hyaena – to name but a few – you will be enthralled by Africa’s famous Big Five in their natural habitat. Duration: 3 hours
Day 3
Today you will experience our unique Hot Air Balloon Safari! As the only Hot Air Balloon operation in South Africa to launch from within a National Park, we offer a truly unique flying experience. Guests are collected at their hotel and taken through the park to rendezvous with the balloon crew.
The flight is approximately an hour’s duration and on landing, sparkling wine is served. A leisurely game drive is then taken through the park to the game lodge where breakfast is served, after which guests are returned to their hotel. Flights are early in the morning and you will need to allow for approximately 5 hours for the full experience.
Day 4
Breakfast is something to see at the Palace Hotel. Enjoy a breakfast and have the rest of the day at leisure.
Have a lazy day and enjoy bespoke spa treatments in the privacy of your own room. Or enjoy a fun filled day at the Sun Central, the action-packed centre of fun. And for the gold lovers you can choose from two world class golf courses. Lunch is for own account
and dinner will be at the hotel.
Day 5
Have a breakfast at the hotel and check out. You will be picked up for your private transfer to Southern Sun OR Tambo Hotel.
Have the rest of the day at Leisure to refresh and rest before your international flight home.
